This research focusses on the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australian medical students and graduates studying and working in medicine in Australia.
This is a qualitative study that privileges the accounts of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australian medical students and graduates to provide a rich account of their experience.
Through this work we will understand the diversity, and the breadth and the depth of what is required, to ensure the support required to succeed and reach their desired outcomes is available. The work will support the development of guidelines for medical schools and medical specialist colleges.
The interview would be with Dr Bandler. And it would be arranged at a time to suit you - including after hours, on the weekends. An hour is set aside - but usually the interview lasts about 30 minutes. The interview is recorded, and automatically transcribed. The transcriptions will be analysed by the research team.
